Leaving Neverland is a new two part documentary by Dan Reed – AMOS Pictures which aims to further investigate the allegations against Michael Jackson.
The film features detailed and graphic accounts from Wade Robson and James Safechuck; the two men claim to have been groomed and sexually abused by Jackson from the ages of seven and ten respectively, with Jackson’s Neverland reportedly being the primary location for much of the abuse.
ENVY’s Head of Grading Vicki Matich said: “The master interview grades were harmonised with elegant palettes to reflect their locations and the interviewees. We wanted the archive material to look of its time, and to enhance the qualities and quirks of its age. It was important to retain the authenticity as documentation.”
ENVY Senior Dubbing Mixer Matt Skilton said: “The score for this documentary was incredibly interesting and different to many other projects I have worked on; made up of 24 stems it was almost like a movie in its own right. The challenge was finding a delicate balance for the audio; with the film raising so many emotions and sensitive subjects – every piece of acoustic had to be positioned perfectly in order to match the visuals.”
The ENVY team provided full finishing post for the documentary.
